OFFICIAL DECLARATION OF INTENT TO CONTEST FOR THE POSITION OF NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF FEDERATION OF EKITI STATE STUDENTS UNION BY COMRADE BENJAMIN ADEKUNLE ONILEOWO (ALUTA TOTAL)
My fellow students of Ekiti State,
I am Benjamin Adekunle Onileowo, popularly known as Aluta Total, a student of the University of Abuja, from Ilawe-Ekiti, the Headquarters of Ekiti South West Local Government of Ekiti State.
With unwavering dedication and profound commitment to safeguarding the rights, interests, and welfare of Ekiti State students, I humbly take the opportunity today to officially declare my intention to vie for the esteemed position of NATIONAL PRESIDENT, FEDERATION OF EKITI STATE STUDENTS UNION.
This decision emanates from a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully to the advancement and protection of the interests of FESSU members while championing the INNOVATION AGENDA for the development of Ekiti State Students and Education.
In the annals of our society, there arise pivotal moments when patriots must rise to be counted. These are times marked by the rapid evolution of our core values, urging us to make decisions that propel the progress and development of our dear union. For our ideological FESSU, that moment is now.
My extensive track record of service and leadership includes, but is not limited to, notable roles such as the National President of Ilawe-Ekiti Students Union, National President of Ekiti South West Local Government Students Union, Director General of Ekiti South Students’ Movement, and the National Public Relations Officer of our noble union, Federation of Ekiti State Students Union.
Beyond academia, my commitment to community development is evident through my role as the Director of Membership for Ekiti Unique Leo Club. Among several recognitions, I am honored to have received awards such as the University of Abuja Most Influential Student 2022 (CORAZON), UNIABUJA Most Sophisticated Comrade 2023 (Conventional Merit Award), and the distinction of being the Youngest National President of the 71-year-old Ilawe-Ekiti Students Union in 2022.
My vision for Ekiti State students is encapsulated in a feasible 7-Point INNOVATION AGENDA, focusing on Academic Development, Equitable Representation, Leadership Mentorship, Strategic Communication, Community and Social Responsibility, Skill Development, and Advocacy.
My fellow students from the Fountain of Knowledge and Land of Honor, Ekiti State, these aforementioned agendas shall be unveiled in detail in our blueprint in coming days to showcase our readiness for the task ahead. Transparency will be the cornerstone of my leadership, maintaining an open line of communication with all students of Ekiti State and actively seeking your input and feedback.
To the Presidents of FESSU Chapters and Electorates, I extend an invitation to join me in this journey of innovation. Your support and involvement are integral to the success of our shared vision. Together, we can elevate FESSU to new heights, creating a legacy that resonates with pride for generations to come.
