JAMB VALIDATES RESIT SCORE FOR UTME CANDIDATES AFFECTED WITH TECHNICAL ERROR

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has declared that only the scores from the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) resit will be valid for candidates affected by technical and human errors during the original exam. This decision nullifies their initial results.

The resit was conducted for over 379,000 students impacted by issues in Lagos and the Southeast. JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, stated that allowing multiple results would compromise the admission process’s integrity.

The board has released the updated scores, showing significant improvement in performance.

JAMB’s decision ensures a fair and credible assessment process, addressing earlier technical flaws and maintaining examination standards. The resit results provide a more accurate evaluation of candidates’ abilities.
