NYSC Registration Portal Crashes, Leaves Prospective Corps Members Stranded In Cross River

It was gathered that the portal was opened on June 8, 2024, but crashed less than 12 hours later, leaving registrants stranded.

Thousands of prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in Cross River State were left stranded and uncertain, following the sudden crash of the NYSC registration portal late Saturday night.

It was gathered that the portal was opened on June 8, 2024, but crashed less than 12 hours later, leaving registrants stranded.

It was reported that many of the graduates, eager to join the NYSC scheme, could not proceed with their registration at computer centers in Ikom, Calabar, Ogoja, and Ugep, leading to their being stranded.

In an apology statement released on Monday, by the NYSC headquarters, the scheme explained that the portal crash was due to a “conflict on the link between NIMC access to NYSC’s database,” which led to the system disruption.
